What to expect:

Stop At: Angkor Wat
Around 8:00 to 8:30 in the morning, pick up from the hotel, then proceed to get the ticket for the temple. Then leave to visit the first temple, Angkor Wat, the world’s largest holy structure and a symbol of Khmer culture. It was constructed by King Suyavarman and honors the Hindu deity, Vishnu. It has the longest bas-relief in the world as well as other decorations covering the walls. The five towers of this structure, which are a component of the Cambodian flag, are surrounded by a huge moat, and from the top, you can see the amazing and deep jungle.

Pass By: South Gate of Angkor Thom City
The South Gate is one of the five entrances into the historic city of Angkor Thom. Similar in appearance, the gates are placed in the four cardinal directions of the city. They are made of laterite and sandstone, and are adorned with bas-reliefs of gods, demons, and other mythical creatures. The Churning of the Sea of Milk from Hindu mythology is portrayed in bas-reliefs on the entryway itself. The South Gate has been preserved the finest out of the five gates. It is also the most well-known because it is where most tourists first enter the city.

Stop at Bayon Temple, Angkor Thom.
The towering stone faces that are carved into the Bayon’s famed for their size. The Bayon is located in the center of Angkor Thom, the capital of the Khmer Empire. The temple is surrounded by a wall and a moat. The bas-relief decorations on the temple’s outer wall depict scenes from both Buddhist and Hindu epics.

Pass By: Terrace of the Elephants, Angkor.
The terrace is located in Angkor Thom’s northern region, adjacent to the Bayon Temple. This is the tourist spot that receives the most visitors to the Angkor Archaeological Park. The terrace has a 350-meter length and a 2.5-meter height. This sandstone and laterite edifice is covered in sculptures of elephants, garudas, lions, and dancers, to name just a few. The elephants are portrayed in a variety of various situations in addition to marching, rearing up, and kneeling. They frequently have their mahouts—the elephant trainers—with them.

Stop At: Ta Prohm Temple, Angkor Archaeological Park,
Ta Prohm Temple, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Cambodia, is well-known for its distinctive “jungle temple” setting. Around the temple’s ruins, which are situated approximately 1.5 kilometers east of Angkor Thom, a forest of trees has grown. The region around the temple has a peculiar and ominous air due to the trees and jungle roots that have grown there through time. Tree roots have covered the temple’s pillars and walls, and in some places, they have even grown through the roofs of the buildings. Because of the “timeless” and “mysterious” feeling this has given Ta Prohm, it is today one of the most popular tourist destinations in Cambodia.
